By the export level per capita of only 1.450 $, Serbia is in the bottom of the scale of European countries. The export of Czech Republic by the same criteria, for example, exceeded 10.000 $ long time ago. Compared to year 1990 the value of the Serbian export still hasn"t doubled, while at the same time the export of Czech Republic got 20 times higher. This estimation of Dr. Ljubodrag Savic determines precisely where we are compared to other countries by which we could compare and compete in the past, we were even better in almost all economy segments.



Total foreign trade exchange in the period from January to September this year, according to official data, is 16,72 billion euros, which is growth of 15,6% compared to the same period last year. We have deficit of 4,17 billion because the import (10,45 billion euros) is still higher than the export (6,27 billion euros).
