(SRB) Negotiations with IMF are ending

Negotiations between the representatives of Serbia and mission of International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding the first revision of the precautionary arrangement will be ended most probably on Wednesday. The negotiations of the Serbian authorities and mission of IMF, within the first quarter of considering results in implementing the current stand-by arrangement with approved loan of 1,1 billion euros, started at the level of technical experts on 3rd of November in Belgrade. The official negotiations started on Wednesday, 9th of November with the plenary meeting in NBS.

During the visit of the mission, which is led by the regional representative of IMF for central and east Europe, Marc Alen, current macroeconomic movements in the country and chances for economic growth for this and next year were being considered, as well as implementing the monetary policy, application of the agreed measures of the fiscal policy in the sense of strengthening the fiscal responsibility and structural measures.
