(WORLD) Kaspersky opened office for South East Europe

Kaspersky Lab, a Russian company that has offices in 29 countries around the world, has opened an office for South Eastern Europe. Headquarters are in Ljubljana and will cover Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Greece and Cyprus. Kaspersky operates in nearly 200 countries, said Vasili Diagilev, director of market development for the company, noting that company currently has over 300 million users worldwide. Speaking about the companys business, Diagilev said that despite the crisis in 2011th company recorded a growth of 14%, revenues were 612 million dollars.

Growth in emerging markets was even greater 22%. Growth was recorded in the business sector and end-users sector, 10 and 16%. The company has ambitions to enter the top three largest vendors of antivirus software in the world.
