In the first quarter of this year, the Croatian telecommunications market registered a growth of broadband Internet access and paying TV services for a fee. In HAKOM pointed out that the phone service continues to note a revenue decline, due to reduced purchasing power of citizens, as well as the development of the new services.





The market for broadband Internet has been growing, which is evidenced by a steady increase in the number of connections for this service. Specifically, at the end of the first quarter of 2012, the number of broadband Internet connections amounted to 1,179,207, which is nearly 3% more than at the end of the previous period. In fixed networks, HT maintained it"s leading position in the part related to the provision of telephone services.
