Six months after the announcement the sale of OMV filling stations in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina finally heats up. Russian oil giant Zarubezhneft entered the negotiations to buy OMVs business empire in the Croatian and BiH market. Buying OMV filling stations would be Zarubezhneft"s first step to Croatian retail market of oil derivatives. Negotiations are still at an early stage so Zarubezhneft, which have for a long time looked towards Croatia, is hoping for their successful completion and replace of OMV brand with Zarubeznjeft.

OMV

OMV is present on the Croatian market since 1992, and has built 63 gas stations and employed 70 people. Their part in the Croatian retail market of oil products is 13 percent, which makes it a pretty strong player.
